Bishop Asks us to write Government to open churches

Dear Priests, Pastors, Parish Life Directors and Lay Leaders of the Diocese of Saskatoon, As some of you will know, the Government recently updated the Guidelines for Places of Worship and extended the pre-existing Public Health Order.   While the provisions remain generally the same they did made a few distinctions and clarifications which have been incorporated into the diocesan directives and are outlined in bold.  I would also like to draw your attention to the second opening paragraph:

The Faith Leaders working group continues to strongly advocate for a change of the 30-person capacity rule to establish a percentage of seating capacity and persist with the request to meet with the Premier to resolve this matter. We encourage you and your parishioners to write your Member of Parliament, names and addresses can be found HERE, and Premier Moe whose address can be found HERE.”
