Did you know that there is a special “ordinariate” for the Canadian Armed Forces? An “Ordinary” in the Church is someone who is an overseer (in Greek “EPISKOPOS” from which we get the word “Bishop”) of Catholics entrusted to his care. Our “Ordinary” is Bishop Mark Hagemoen. The Ordinary of the Armed Forces is Bishop Scott McCaig CC. He has written a powerful response to the MINISTER OF NATIONAL DEFENCE ADVISORY PANEL ON SYSTEMIC RACISM AND DISCRIMINATION FINAL REPORT.
